Microsoft Lists definitely seems to be taking the spotlight and is looking to be the catch-all for any real tracking, task, and calendar system. I think we have rich text support and recurring tasks coming soonsoonsoon And there have been hardly any real enhancements to it in the last year or so. Planner as it stands is already incredibly bare bones.
I think there was one other new api announcement in sown other session for Planner. That session basically showed nothing new at all for Planner beyond some new upsells to Project. I had a much longer post typed up yesterday but decided not to post it.Īfter watching one of the Ignite 2022 sessions last night (Embrace a new way of work with Microsoft 365), I continue to question and wonder about the future of Microsoft Planner - specifically tracking and managing stuff.
